The Therapeutic & Recreational Riding Center, Inc. (TRRC) — a long-established, PATH Intl. accredited center in Glenwood, MD — is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) to join our team.

Founded in 1983, TRRC provides equine-assisted activities and therapies for children and adults with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. We are a supportive, mission-driven community that values professionalism, teamwork, and respect for both horses and humans alike.

Position Summary

The PATH Certified Instructor will teach safe, effective, and engaging therapeutic riding lessons for participants of all ages and abilities. Instructors collaborate closely with volunteers, therapy professionals, and families to ensure individualized support and progress toward participant goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct therapeutic and recreational riding lessons in accordance with PATH Intl. standards.

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans.

• Supervise and train lesson volunteers.

• Maintain accurate records and uphold safety and welfare of all horses and participants.

• Participate in staff meetings, events, and community outreach when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Current PATH Intl. CTRI certification (required).

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.

• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Commitment to teamwork and TRRC’s mission.

Compensation

Competitive pay commensurate with experience. Part-time position with flexible scheduling options.
